Two of Rjukan's ice-climbing entusiasts have created an amazing ice park. The idea of pumping water from the gorge in Rjukan has finally been relized. The water is sprayed over 60 - 70m cliffes, and is making more than 15 stunning lines.

Rjukan is reconed one of the best places in the world for ice climbing. The conditions here are very stabile due to the lack of sun six months of the year.

With this new invention the routes can be varied from season to season and ice-climbers from all over can come back time after time and never climb the same waterfall.

Rjukan Ice park is situated in the gorge, by the suspension bridge that goes over to the museum at Vemork. From Rjukan city centre you continue on the road 37 towards Rauland. After 7 km you reach Våer. From here you turn left on the sign to Norwegian Industrial Workers' Muesum. Leave your car at the parking lot, and then you will see the suspension bridge.

For accommodation, Climb-Inn is situated just a short walk away and is run by climbers for climbers!
