KAT Walks - A creative experience

Kat is a British architect and artist working both internationally and in Norway who has been based in Rjukan since 2010.

Kat is a partner and the Creative Director of Context AS, a combined architectural practice and environmental consultancy focusing on sustainable people-centred social development. Context is based in Rjukan and Oslo. In addition to architecture her background and lifelong love is art. As an award winning artist, her work has been exhibited in various European cities over the years. She has over 20 years’ experience facilitating art workshops & community art events, and runs weekly ‘Expressive Art Labs’ in Oslo where she explores the sensory nature of art and authentic expression. Rjukan: A new way of seeing and understanding place. Working outdoors using light, shadow, movement, form, colour, texture as our drawing materials Kat invites you on an exploration of the UNESCO World Heritage town of Rjukan. Interacting with both the solidity and fragility of the monumental architecture and the surrounding nature, we use art to explore the transient moments of nature and the changes the town is continuously undergoing.
